You’re My Favorite Patient! Here’s Why. . .

I am excited to announce that I have been nominated for the WEGO Health categories of “PATIENT LEADER HERO” and “ADVOCATING FOR ANOTHER” Award in the 2018 WEGO Health Awards! WEGO Health is a mission-driven company connecting healthcare with the experience, skills, and insights of patient leaders. They are the world’s largest network of patient leaders, working across virtually all health conditions and topics.

With 16 award categories, the WEGO Health Awards are the only awards across all conditions and platforms, that recognize the over 100 thousand inspiring Patient Leaders who raise awareness, share information, and support their communities – but often without recognition. It means so much to me to be nominated for something I love to do. LUPUS Awareness advocacy and support is dear to my heart.

This year, the 16 WEGO Health Award winners will be honored at an in-person celebration in October co-hosted by the Society of Participatory Medicine at the Connected Health Conference. I’d love to attend this event and represent my community. Lupus has gained so much attention these past few years, but we have many unsung heroes that deserve to have a voice heard for their benefit.  And this is why it’s important to me to attend this advocacy event to collaborate with industry leaders and make our LUPUS Awareness voices heard.
